Green Sustainable Solutions d.o.o. announces the completion of a PhD by its CEO, Dinko Đurđević. The doctoral defence took place on 9 April 2026 at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Rijeka.
The doctoral thesis, titled Technology selection model for sustainable energy and material recovery of waste biomass and wastewater, focused on the development of a multicriteria model for selecting optimal technologies for the sustainable use of waste biomass and wastewater. The research addresses challenges linked to circular economy, sustainable development, decarbonisation of energy systems and more efficient waste management.
For GSS, this milestone further strengthens the company’s knowledge base in sustainability, energy, circular economy and strategic project development. It adds further depth to the expertise behind GSS services in technical analysis, innovation planning and EU-funded project preparation, particularly in areas where complex decision-making, system-level assessment and practical implementation capacity are critical.
This achievement reinforces the analytical and methodological capacity behind GSS operations and provides an additional foundation for the company’s continued work on high-value sustainability and energy projects.
