Green Sustainable Solutions d.o.o. (GSS) participated in the HE Access to Finance event held in Zagreb at ZICER – Zagreb Innovation Centre, where key regional hydrogen initiatives, North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley (NAHV), North Adriatic Clean Hydrogen Investment Platform (NACHIP) and North Adriatic Smart Communities Hydrogen Accelerator (NASCHA), presented their objectives, financing mechanisms and collaboration opportunities for the North Adriatic hydrogen ecosystem.
Represented by David Čondić, GSS used the event to strengthen market intelligence, connect with relevant stakeholders and gain a clearer view of how companies and project developers can position themselves within upcoming funding and innovation support schemes. The discussions confirmed that access to finance, cascade funding and stronger ecosystem-building instruments will be decisive for accelerating hydrogen deployment across Croatia and the wider region.
A particularly relevant part of the programme was the site visit to Patria Composite. The company’s development and manufacturing of hydrogen valves and tanks demonstrated that the region already hosts industrial actors with concrete capabilities to support hydrogen market growth. Such manufacturing capacity is important not only for technology development, but also for strengthening the regional hydrogen value chain, improving supply chain positioning and creating a more credible basis for long-term investment and deployment.
For GSS, the event provided a useful platform to follow how the regional hydrogen market is evolving from strategic planning toward implementation. Several messages stood out clearly: stronger partnerships are needed across the full value chain, financing remains one of the key enablers of deployment, and cross-border cooperation will be essential for scaling impact. The event also reinforced the importance of involving industrial players with real manufacturing capacity in future project pipelines and regional initiatives.
GSS will continue to monitor and engage in initiatives that strengthen hydrogen ecosystems, improve project bankability and support the development of investable, implementation-ready opportunities across the region.
