GSS at INVENTO Summit 2026: Advancing Sustainable Mobility from Concept to Implementation

Green Sustainable Solutions participated in INVENTO Summit 2026, held at HUB385 in Zagreb, where Dinko Đurđević moderated the panel “Building the Future of Mobility – From Labs to Roads”.

The panel brought together representatives of academia, telecommunications, smart mobility technology and regional development to discuss how innovative mobility solutions can move from research, pilots and demonstration activities towards practical implementation. Panel speakers included Melita Milenković from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, Mirko Pavlinić from Hrvatski Telekom, Goran Kanižaj from SICK MOBILISIS d.o.o., and Goran Batinić from Razvojna agencija Split – RaST / Tehnološki park Split.

The discussion focused on the sustainable mobility aspect and its implementation potential from both public and private stakeholder perspectives. A key conclusion was that innovation is already present and the necessary technologies are largely available. However, practical implementation remains challenging, particularly due to regulatory frameworks, public-sector readiness, investment conditions and political decision-making processes.

The panel highlighted the importance of continuous collaboration between relevant partners, including public authorities, technology providers, research organisations, infrastructure operators, regional development agencies and investors. Such cooperation is essential for transforming innovative mobility concepts into operational projects that can deliver measurable benefits for cities, regions and citizens.

Another important point emerging from the discussion was the need to strengthen the social dimension of sustainable mobility. Although this topic was not discussed in detail during the panel, it represents a critical component for future implementation. Technology alone cannot transform mobility systems. Citizens need to understand, accept and actively use new solutions. This requires stronger attention to mindset change, behavioural aspects, user acceptance, trust-building and stakeholder engagement.

The panel therefore opened an important space for further discussion on how to make sustainable mobility solutions not only technically feasible, but also socially accepted, politically viable and operationally scalable.

Green Sustainable Solutions thanks Invento Capital Partners for the invitation and congratulates all speakers and participants on a valuable discussion dedicated to the future of sustainable mobility.
