GSS at H2 Conference 2026: Dinko Đurđević Moderated Panel III on Hydrogen Market Development

Green Sustainable Solutions took part in H2 Conference 2026 in Belgrade, held on 17–18 March 2026 at Hyatt Regency Belgrade, an international professional and business event dedicated to the role of hydrogen in the energy transition. The conference programme focused on practical hydrogen project development, infrastructure, investment opportunities and market implementation.

A key highlight for GSS was the active role of Dinko Đurđević, Founder and CEO of Green Sustainable Solutions, who moderated Panel III: “H2 in 2026: Hydrogen Market at a Global Crossroad.” In this role, Dinko guided the discussion on the future of hydrogen market development, the importance of integrated ecosystem approaches, and the conditions needed to move hydrogen projects from strategy to implementation.

The panel discussion confirmed an important conclusion: stronger collaboration across the full value chain is essential for hydrogen uptake. Panelists highlighted that hydrogen valleys and integrated ecosystems currently represent the most effective response to the well-known chicken-and-egg dilemma, as they create a framework in which production, infrastructure and demand can develop in parallel.

At the same time, the discussion made clear that there are still major barriers to overcome. Regulatory uncertainty, limited bankability and investment risk continue to constrain project deployment and investor confidence. The overall message was clear: hydrogen has a real opportunity only if the entire system cooperates: including policymakers, financial actors, industry, technology providers, researchers and regional stakeholders.

Another important takeaway concerned the relevance of previous experience. For Southeastern Europe and the Balkans, the discussion underlined that future hydrogen initiatives can be developed more effectively by learning from existing hydrogen valleys, early implementation models and cross-sector collaboration approaches already tested in other parts of Europe. This creates a stronger basis for new bankable and regionally adapted projects.

Through Dinko Đurđević’s moderation of Panel III, GSS contributed directly to the strategic discussion on how hydrogen ecosystems can support market creation and project development in the Balkans and wider Southeastern Europe. – https://www.h2cluster.rs/en/
